Miki Hosokawa (Hosokawa Miki 細川 美樹) is possibly the greatest troublemaker in Nūbē's class who is known best for her big mouth, her vast spiritual knowledge, her gossipy nature and her big bust.

Appearance

Miki is portrayed as beautiful young woman with neck-length blonde hair that has bangs hanging over her eyebrows with a black headband, blue eyes and she is very curvaceous for her age as she sports the biggest bust out of all the girls in class 5-3.

Personality

At the start, Miki was a mere tattletale, consistently chatting on and on about various rumors and such, especially if Nūbē was involved. But after a near-fatal encounter with a tattletale yōkai that first pinned blame on her for several downright hurtful rumors and then attempted to eat her, she begins to tone down her talking and starts focusing on more spiritual matters. Miki begins to do consistent research on various spirit and yōkai manners, to the point where even her teacher came to her for things he may not know. Most of this is merely knowledge, she consistently looks for supernatural means to assist her, either for her rumor mill or to get rich quick. One of her most important spiritual developments was gaining the ability to become a rokurokubi, where she can spiritually stretch her head and neck to go undercover to anywhere she chooses. Extremely vain about her physicality, Miki prides in her growing buxom figure (she grows from a B-cup to an F-cup over the course of the series) and flaunts it whenever she can.

Abilities

Astral Projection: she have the ability to make Astral form which a Rokurokubi for on the manga forever but in the anime only her neck and head in her astral form but was removed by Nube in the end of episode 9 but got it back in episode 36

Intelligence: She learn about the supernatural by reading a book about it

She something annoyed him while tattletale or cheat on a test by her astral form or ask Izuna by using for fox tube spirit

Hiroshi Tateno

She see Hiroshi as a best friend which her Seductive charm on him and was alter by Spirit crow in Episode 24 and she pranks him in her Astral form

Kyōko Inaba

She have a friendship/rivalry with Kyoko like in Episode 36 and laugh at her to have Size A chest and they're friends in some episode like she like to try to make fun of Kyoko but in love with Hiroshi but get annoy that she say Miki can't get a boyfriend

She always come a see him for the food in Episode 8

Izuna Hazuki

She trust in Episode 27 for by using for fox tube spirit to cheat on a test but in Episode 40, she help her with Kyoko about getting a boyfriend

Katsuya Kimura

She always use her seductive charm on him too but in Episode 46, when he touch her head but she bit him in her Rokurokubi

Noriko Nakajima

Miki get jealous of Noriko in the 3rd movie but her friendship with her is neutral

Etymology

• The name Miki means "beautiful" (美) (mi) and "tree" (樹) (ki).
• Miki's surname Hosokawa means "fine" (細) (hoso) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa).

• Miki's catchphrase is "Unbelievable!"
• Miki and Kyōko Inaba's hairstyle was swapped in live-action TV series.
• She is 1 of 3 Nube's former 5-3 students in who gained the spiritual powers, other is Kinoshita Ayumi, who learned Youshin Jutsu from Nube, and Chima Kenta (made appearance in only chapter 196, volume 23th of the original manga), who gained ability of levitation by living in the wilderness for very long time.
